1. The Flawless Organization of the Games:

Let’s start with the organization. These Games were eagerly anticipated but also met with a lot of concern, particularly regarding security and crowd management. Well, Paris 2024 rose to all the challenges—and how! First of all, the opening ceremony on the Seine was hailed worldwide as a true masterpiece. Imagine, over 360,000 spectators gathered along the riverbanks to witness a unique spectacle with the Eiffel Tower as a backdrop. It was the first time the opening of the Olympic Games took place outside a stadium, and it was simply breathtaking!

But the organization didn’t stop there. The competitions took place in iconic venues such as Champ de Mars for beach volleyball, the Grand Palais for fencing, and the iconic Stade de France. In total, more than 12 million spectators attended events across the country, and images of these venues were shared worldwide. Television viewership was massive, with billions of viewers captivated by the athletes' performances and the beauty of the locations.

To ensure safety, a large-scale security system was deployed. Over 30,000 police and gendarmes were mobilized daily, rising to 45,000 for the opening ceremony. Additionally, 16,500 private security agents were specially trained for the event. Despite some challenges, such as sabotage of SNCF lines just before the opening ceremony, everything unfolded in a serene and secure environment—a true feat for an event of this scale. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) even praised France for the impeccable management of these Games.

2. Exceptional Athletic Performances by French Athletes:

Now let’s move on to the heart of the Games: the sport. And what incredible performances by French athletes! With a total of 64 medals, including 16 golds, France broke its own historical record. Our athletes showcased the French flag with pride worldwide, and their determination inspired the entire nation. One of the biggest heroes of these Games was undoubtedly Léon Marchand, who won 4 gold medals in swimming. His feats, especially in the 400-meter individual medley, left a lasting impression, and he has become a true legend in the world of sports.

And how could we not talk about Teddy Riner? The judo giant once again proved he is one of the greatest champions in history, winning two gold medals: one individual and one with the French team. But France didn’t stop there. For the first time in a century, three French athletes claimed the top three spots on the podium in BMX Racing. It was a historic and emotional moment.

Medals were won in 27 different disciplines, showcasing the versatility and strength of French sports. France finished as the top European nation in the medal standings, ahead of giants like Great Britain, Germany, and the Netherlands. This exceptional athletic performance is the result of many years of preparation and hard work by the athletes, as well as the entire team supporting them: selectors, coaches, medical staff, and technical experts—a true collective success!
